My mother-in-law makes cheese bread for my kids. It tastes just like the Sizzler cheese bread. Here’s the simple recipe:
Cheese Bread Recipe
Ingredients:
Bread (thick if possible)
Butter
Parmesan Cheese (I use finely grated cheese)
Oil for the frying pan
Method:
1. Butter bread
2. Shake a generous amount of cheese on the bread
3. Carefully place the bread cheese side down in an oiled frypan for a minute
4. Remove and allow to cool
This is a fun afternoon tea snack in winter and can be used as a side for soups too!

April 28, 2011 at 9:20 amIt sounds perfect to dress up a soup for lunch. I do another one, similar, where i mix grated cheese with butter or low-fat spread, add finely chopped parsley and chives or shallots and spread that onto rounds of sliced french stick. Pop it into the oven until it bubbles. Also love soup with home-made savoury muffins or scones. Yell if you want the recipes.
This cooler weather is a perfect time for making a bit batch of vegetable soup – I’m motivated!
