Autumn Leaves

The colour of change is in the trees: gold, rust, aubergine, orange, yellow and brown.  Change is good and I’ve learned to embrace it. One of the ways I do this is by looking for ways to celebrate the seasons as they happen.

Autumn colours are warm, as if giving a final farewell before the colder months set in.  To bring some of this coziness in the house, I did a simple activity with the kids. Visit a park or drive around to find a beautiful autumn tree, collect the fallen leaves, thread them on string and hang in the home.

They will only be there for a short time but our strand of colourful leaves make me happy. That’s all.

And for spring/summer, it’ll be strings of newly-blossomed flowers, yes? 😀
