Making a Home Dance Space

I’ve been working on making a ballet space for my daughter to practice at home. It’s very hard to practice ballet properly on the carpet! I put the floor down a year ago, but I’ve been on the lookout for a barre since then. I found a second-hand barre on Facebook marketplace a few weeks ago. And we are set!

I’ve had a few people ask me about the floor so I thought I would give a run down on how we set this up.

We measured the space out on the concreted back patio section. Then we purchased cheap lino from Bunnings to size. The tricky thing is to work out how to fasten the lino down. We decided to give heavy-duty outdoor tape a try. That was over a year ago and it hasn’t budged!
