Review

I opened the package from Sue and was overwhelmed. The craftsmanship was stunning and there’s an amazing attention to detail.  The product is utterly adorable!  And it wasn’t just me that responded this way.  My husband said, “It’s absolutely beautiful!” And the children?  You can see how much they loved it.

How it works

How adorable are these? I just love fair trade toys from abroad, we have some fair trade Montessori wooden toys that we love! As for these, the Jungle themed one would delight my little boy. Jungle book is one of his favourite bedtime stories. I think he would adore the tiger *roar*.

Ooo, looks great, Nell! I’ve fallen in love with the garden scene (surprise, surprise!) – the butterfly is gorgeous! Quick question: what would you suggest is the minimum age appropriate for this beautiful product? Am looking for a first b’day pressie…..

@Kel, Hi Kel. On the bag the recommended age is 3 and up (for small parts). However, in my opinion, I think they would be great, even for a newborn. And I know a 1 year old would enjoy them too with supervision.

These are fabulous. Thanks for bringing them to my attention.
It’s hard to pick a favourite…but I do love the Polar Bear. I use Polar Bears to teach my children about Global Warming, Climate Change and caring for our environment. (the polar bears are dying because they are having to swim too far because the ice is breaking up too quickly – just to explain briefly).

What a fantastic product. My son in year one just finished a unit on story
telling and using props to retell a story. These puppets would have been perfect. I will forward the link to his teacher. I love the mermaid of course.

They are all so gorgeous!! The ocean theme is definitely right up there, it matches the mural in our bathroom very well but the winner in our house would have to be the jungle set!! So hard to choose a favourtie character though. My 4 year old loves monkeys the most, my 2 year still carries around his zebra (or 2 when he finds the spare) but i have always loved tigers, even more so now when both boys screw up their little faces to give mummy a tiger grrrrrr ๐Ÿ™‚

Had a look at the crafts from Bolivia page and I reckon they are fabulous! Being South-American myself, I grew up with similar handcrafted toys. I would loooove for my 3 yo daughter, who is half Australian to be able to experience playing with and learn how to appreciate such beautiful toys. Thank you for sharing this with us! x

I’m not entering. In fact, I’m reviewing my own pouch when it arrives. I’m intrigued by a toy that links with literacy this way. Your photos and video were great!

These are gorgeous. We live by the water and I’m imagining sitting down at the beach with my little girl with the Ocean and Arctic scenes. Having worked in childcare for six years I’m a little puppet obsessed – to me they are the perfect toy to use and imagine beautiful things. That Musk Ox has a lot of stories to tell!

Hi Kel, These are pretty cute. Love the face that they are in a bag and easy to take with. They are beautifully made. All the creatures are gorgeous, but to choose one, would have to be the turtle from the sea scene. I might suggest them as a prop (for demonstration purposes) at mainly music. I know they’re on tight budget, but I’ll raise it on Monday meeting. Thanks for school holiday blog. Have enjoyed reading each day.

    Love Yo.

My little ones would love the bee as we are trying to encourage bees into our garden to help our passionfruit bear fruit. We’ve been talking a lot about the life cycle of food and how bees play their part ๐Ÿ™‚
