The Fringe is in. I’ve noticed fringes poping up everywhere. There’s the Kate Moss fringe and the Anne Hathaway fringe and other cute celebrity fringes. I don’t usually follow trends unless it suits me but I admit to liking the chic and glam look of the fringe. I used to have a fringe, you know… a long time ago.
One morning I decided it was time to go back to the fringe. So, I found my nearest hair dresser and booked myself in for a cut. I must admit, going back to a fringe was quite a shock. I wasn’t sure if I liked the change. My daughter (5) cried when she saw me so that wasn’t a good start now was it? The fringe has grown on me though. And thank you to those on facebook who made me feel so much better {hugs}. I’m not sure how long the fringe is going to stay around but for now, I’ll enjoy the change.

What I love most: The necklace. It’s symbolises how I carry my children in my heart always. I also love the bag. My Dad gave it to me for my birthday and it’s proven to be a bag I use all the time. I take it to the beach and for day trips.
My Tip: Be spontaneous sometimes.
Do you ever cry when you change your hair style? Did you ever have a fringe? I want to see it — especially if it’s an 80’s fringe. Email me with a picture and I’ll feature it here.

December 16, 2010 at 10:14 amThat’s funny, I was thinking you meant fringe, like on leather coats & purses in the 80’s (I guess that’s back in now too). haha. I forget that Aussies call bangs-fringe. I have a friend in Australia. It looks good on you.

December 16, 2010 at 4:33 pmLove it Kell! Can’t wait to see it in real life – V sooooon!!!!!! You are so brave! I did in 1998 (cut it myself of course haha!). I had it for all terms 3 & 4. I got sick of it over the summer holidays. Sweaty forehead + oily T-zone didn’t help, so started pinning it back. I got back to school the following year and pretty much ALL the other girls had a fringe!! I then switched to contacts near our yr 12 formal and when I lost my think frame glasses, my face felt bare, so I did a side swept fringe and have had that (in varying lengths), pretty much ever since!

December 18, 2010 at 12:22 amCan’t wait to see you Meeya. I have to admit, my hair does get oily by the end of the day… so I’ll see how it goes. I did the side fringe for ages too. And then it just grew out.

December 16, 2010 at 9:21 pmI think it looks great! The good thing is, that you didn’t go too short. That’s when I think it can be really upsetting;)

December 17, 2010 at 7:39 amWOWZERS you look fabulous! Love your long glossy locks. I have an annoying ‘cow lick’ (think that’s what the hairdressers call it) so a straight fringe would never work – unless I diligently used hair straighteners every morning! x

December 18, 2010 at 10:44 pmI have a fringe. I have had it for a little while now. I figured it was a much cheaper and less risky way of dealing with incipient forehead wrinkles that botox!
Yours looks great

December 20, 2010 at 1:56 pmYeah, I have this chicken pox scar right up the top of my forehead and I’ve always hated it. I usually like to wear a fringe because you can’t see it. And I AM starting to get some forhead wrinkles! Oh joy!
