Kid Tough Digital Camera

When the lovely people over at Nuffnang asked if my kids would play with the Kid Tough Digital Camera I said, “YES!” Kids are exposed to cameras from a very early age aren’t they? And they know the instant quality digital cameras bring. Without fail, when I take pictures of the children, they say, “Can I see?” Photography is one of my passions and I want to share that with my kids so I was excited to review the Kid Tough Digital Camera.

The minute I removed the camera from the packaging it disappeared. All the kids had a turn (ages 3-9) and not one of them asked me how to use it.  They just picked it up and started taking pictures. The camera is obviously made especially for little hands and is easy to use; even my 3-year-old was able to use it without instruction. The rubber casing provides a drop-proof quality so I didn’t feel worried about the camera. It did indeed seem to be tough! Most of all, the camera provides a fun activity for kids that extends to home projects and craft.

I purposefully didn’t give any photography “tips” to the kids because I wanted to see how they used the camera first. After the kids had exhausted the 500 photo memory, I uploaded the photos to the computer. Seeing the pictures was like a sneak peak at how kids see the world. Here is a selection:

About The Kid Tough Digital Camera

The Kid Tough Digital Camera was the first preschool appropriate digital camera that was tough and easy enough to stand up to rough preschooler use. The camera has an easy-to-use format and simple buttons while also featuring a 1.5” color LCD preview screen which allows kids to instantly see the picture they’ve taken and view or delete previous shots, Image resolution of 1.3 or .3 Megapixels (user select ed) for quality 4”x6” prints, Auto-flash, 128MB of Flash memory for storing up to 500 pictures, USB Cable for computer connection, dual handle grips, and a 2-eye view finder that makes it easy for kids to take great pictures.

We had a lot of fun with the Kid Tough Digital Camera.

My 3-year-old loves taking photos and lovesit when I give her a turn with my camera, but one that would stand up to rough play would be great. Is this the one by Fisher Price? (That’s all I can find when I google it)

Kelly, I can’t believe you are blogging after everything you’ve been through this week. I hope everything is ok.
