This series of posts follows Fi and her family as they experience a 6 month family getaway to Uluwatu, Bali. If you want to know more or catch up on previous entries, visit the first post in the series here: Family Tropical Adventure in Bali.
Swiftlets!
We found a nest. With an egg. A few days later, a baby bird with unseeing eyes hatched.
Over time, from our outdoor bath, we watched the mother bird feed and keep an eye on her little one.
Then, the nest was empty. We waited to see if the birds would return. Maybe they were only out for a flying lesson?
No. The nest remains empty.
We now see many baby swallows enjoying the feeling of flight. Some look a little bumpy but you can tell they enjoy the freedom. The children and I find it thrilling to watch them.
Time: This is what we can do with plenty.
