One of the things I love most about India is the colour. The colour, is fearless! It’s intoxicating. It’s contagious. It’s wonderful! I remember one day, as I went through my clean clothes to wear, pulling out a purple dress shirt, pink leggings, orange shoes and a red scarf for my head (see a pic of the combo here). And you know what? The colour clashes didn’t matter. And you know what? It was liberating! It felt good to wear a myriad of colour on my person like a flag saying, “Here I am, I’m alive.”
India is an interesting and complex place. I spoke about the grey days, where I put on my black and white glasses to get through the day. And yet, there is a lot of beauty in India, and in this post, I’ve catpured some of the joy in the form of colour.
