When it comes out in a drawing

backyard tree

Don’t you love when good stuff from real life comes out in their drawings?

Miss 7 came in from the backyard with a piece of bark covered in gems.  You see, we decorated a branch from the children’s favourite backyard tree, with jewels (you can spot the bling branch in the picture above).

“What are you going to do with that?” I asked her after she showed me.

“Draw a picture of our magic tree,” she said.

And there you have it.

I was browsing the internet of kids drawings springing to life (that’s what we do by the way) and stumbled on your blog and just kept on reading. 🙂 Love the blogs about India. Me and my wife are planning to go on a trip to Asia this year too. 🙂 Love your blog! Fun mum indeed!

i love it when kids draw..there is something so beautiful about the way that they just put pen to paper and let their imagination free. Not caring about how perfect the drawing actually is…love it!

Love it, we did a similar picture of the beach – they collected sand, shells etc and created a beach scene when we got home, the kids loved it!

So fun! I am starting my own blog to keep me sane. Starting with what to do with the kids these holidays! Any suggestions would be really welcome. http://happyhipstermum.com/easter-holidays/sydney/

So special. I hope this is one you’ll keep forever Kell. It’s just lovely.

You find out so much about what your child love by what they draw. I’m so lucky Miss Possum draws all the time, I love seeing what she comes up with!

I know! Miss 7 especially loves drawing, and I let her take a journal and pens to bed every night because she finds it so relaxing. <3
