I Wore Green Togs

green one piece togs

Summer’s come early here in Brisbane.  Beach waves. Afternoon storms.  Hot sand. Big sunglasses. Even bigger hats. Ice cold water. Salads and sorbets. Bare feet. Cute dresses. Flowers in my hair. BBQs in the park. Pool days. Movie nights. All the good things to look forward to in the upcoming months.

I found these cute one piece togs are in Luang Prabang in Laos — of all the places to find swimwear!  After walking around the quaint town, I stumbled across a shop with the adorable emerald green swimsuit.  They are different than any togs I’ve seen here in Australia. So cute!

Those are really pretty togs – what a fab colour. (Adore your phone case too!). This is where I’m (finally) heading as well. I’m not quite there yet (still some hang ups to overcome) but today I wore shorts and togs for the first time in about 20 years (no exaggeration!) I knew I didn’t look perfect but it didn’t matter, and R was excited because Mummy was actually going into the water instead of just watching from the sidelines.

Yay, I love it when some uses the word togs. I’ve lived out of Queensland for so long people look at me strangely when I say togs.

There is pressure every which way you look to conform to what you “should” look like. I’m at a point in my life where I focus now on whether I feel healthy. I think if you feel good then your confidence makes you look good, no matter if you fit the mould or not. Hmm, note to self, must find some awesome new swimmers.

Robyn lawley has just put out a range of beautiful swimmers (cossies, togs, whatever!) when she couldn’t find ones she lived to suit her shape. She is a plus size model and doing great things! Check her out for a great Australian girl doing a brilliant job!

Love this post. Just delightful and I want those bathers! I think my attitude has definitely shifted and focused over the years and I am getting closer to where you are now. It’s a nice place to be. Thanks for sharing 🙂 x

You look amazing (although you look amazing in every photo I’ve seen) and in real life too. I’ll always remember that you introduced me to button necklaces!

You’ve started something new. I wan’t those togs! Emerald looks great on red heads. I wonder if I’d stumble on something similar online. Hmmmm
