This is pretty much all you need to make two awesome Christmas decorations.
DECORATION 1: SNOWBALLS
Materials
Styrofoam balls, various sizes
Epsom Salts
Clear, shimmery glitter
Tacky glue
Method
- Combine the Epsom Salts and the white sparkly glitter in a bowl
- Paint the craft glue all over the Styrofoam balls. Use a cup or glass to help hold in place to reduce messy, sticky fingers.
- Using a spoon, coat the ball with sparkly “snow”
- Set aside to fully dry on a wire rack.
Ta-dar!!! A bowl full of snow balls to decorate the table! I found these cute snowflake decorations and placed them on top of the snowballs to give a more wintery effect.
DECORATION 2: CUPCAKE ORNAMENTS
It’s easy to create a cupcake tree decoration with these materials too.
Materials
Styrofoam balls
Epsom Salts
Clear, shimmery glitter
Tacky glue
Cupcake papers
Berry decorations
Ribbon
Method
- Paint glue on the inside of the cupcake paper and place ball inside. Continue to paint glue on the top and all over the Styrofoam.
- Generously sprinkle Epsom Salts and glitter mixture all over the top of the cupcake.
- Tie some ribbon around the top of the “cherry” and make a loop so it can hang. Poke the wire stem into the ball.
- Sit inside a mug or cup till the glue dries
