Take a Peek inside my Hotel in Dubai

Sarah Jessica Parker stayed at the same hotel (at the same time). She was in Dubai there launching a new shoe range. The Address Downtown hotel is elegant and gorgeous so I’m not surprised! Located right in the heart of the action – next to the Burj Khalifa and The Dubai Mall – it’s a great point for exploring this fascinating city. Let me give you a peek inside.

The Address Downtown - Dubai

The Night View

One evening, I sat out on one of the (many) balconies watching the impressive fountain display surrounded by a million lights while overlooking the Burj Khalifa. It was surreal. And very beautiful.

The Dubai Fountain

The Dubai fountain is a MUST-SEE in Dubai. Water shoots as high as 150 metres, timed to music and spliced with lights. There are daily afternoon and evening shows (they are free) and you can get right up close. I photographed the fountain displays one night from The Address Downtown.

The Facilities

From the lobby to the pool and throughout the hotel, there’s an unstated elegance. Texture, wood, light, deep shades and fragrance added ambiance to each space.

The buffet breakfast was the best I have had in my LIFE! I didn’t take any pictures of the food because I was too busy enjoying it!

The Spa

This is the view overlooking the pool from the spa where I was treated to the The Address Downtown Dubai Signature Massage. I was so blissed out at the end of it, I felt emotional.

My room

Comfort and elegance. It’s in the details. For example, when I asked for extra milk for my coffee one day (there was a Nespresso machine in the room), the next day and for the rest of my stay, there was extra milk there each day for me to use.

Restaurant – CUT by Wolfgang Puck

I ate the best steak of my life at CUT by Wolfgang Puck, one of the seven dining spots at The Address Downtown. Read more about the restaurant here: CUT by Wolfgang Puck. There was both simplicity to the food and a complicity of flavour combinations. If I had to sum the food up in one word, it would be beautiful.

Location

When I’m in a new place, I like to do a short photo walk around the area. It helps me notice things I may not otherwise. I do this with the kids too and you can use the printable template to do your own photo walk here: Photo Walk Treasure Hunt. A quick Google maps search helps map out a rough route and highlights key places close by, like in this case:

The Address Downtown would be great for a couple getaway, and I would love to go back and enjoy the hospitality with husband one day in the future. Such a treat!

Musandam is about 160 km from Dubai, about drive of 1 hour and 45 minutes approximately. This is an eye-catching peninsula situated on the northern border of the Sultanate of Oman. https://dubaidesertsafaris.com/musandam-oman-tour/

I had visited Dubai during Christmas when I was 20 years old, and the whole experience was nothing less than magical. This year, I am going to visit again along with my little one, and I can’t wait to experience everything again along with him.
