If you want to make the lunch box fun with minimal fuss, food picks are brilliant! I’ve used them for years. I don’t put them in lunch box every day…maybe once a week, depending on what I have packed for the kids. They are great for things like cut up fruit, veggies and cheese squares. There are really cute ones out there, especially the googly eye picks that I use purely for a laugh for the kids (and myself). Just Google “food picks” and there are many online stores that sell them. I have the Leaf Food Picks, Playtime Food Picks and Googly Eye Food Picks and I have my eye on these bunny ones for Easter.
Some of the ways I’ve used them.

May 23, 2015 at 5:50 pmHi Kelly – from what age do you think it’s safe to use the food picks? I just bought some as I love your post, but I’m not sure if the parts are too small (and a choking hazard) for my 2 year old? Thanks Rachel

May 24, 2015 at 12:07 pmI would check the recommended age on the product packet, but I don’t think I would give it to a 2 year old, no. I started using food picks with my kids when they were of school age. They are GREAT and so cute!
