Just in time for Father’s Day, there’s an exciting new KODAK App available called KODAK MOMENTS – that allows you to easily order prints from the photographs taken on your phone, or from the photos stored on your Facebook, Instagram, Flickr or Dropbox accounts, and have them delivered to your home or another address.
No longer do you only have the option to download photos to your computer first, or upload them at an in store kiosk. Wherever you are, if you snap a great shot from your phone, you can simply edit it within the KODAK MOMENTS app (via iOS or Android) and send it to print and sent to your home.
The prints are available in a range of sizes and enlargements, making them a perfect gift for any occasion. And with Father’s Day just around the corner, the KODAK MOMENTS App means you can turn those special family moments that you’ve captured on your phone into a precious keepsake.
It’s a gift that’s more special than aftershave or chocolates, it’s simple and cost effective, and it’s something that Dad will treasure. Here’s some ideas of how you can turn your photo prints into unique gifts, using the KODAK MOMENTS App.
Unique Framing Ideas
Photograph your children holding cute cardboard cut-outs. If you have three children – getting each to hold a letter to spell DAD, and putting each in a separate frame makes for a fun gift. If you have more or less children, there are a number of combinations that could work.
- Hold a “I {heart} Dad” paper sign for one or more child
- Make a fun scene where in each frame, the child has a reaction to the next one (think the Brady Bunch). This could work for 2 or more children. As an example: the first child could pass a paper and pen, the next could pretend to write, and the next could hold the written sign.
- Write a message on kids feet – WE {heart} DAD; WE {heart} DADDY – and photograph (example here)
- Love hearts make for a cute photo prop, and will work for any number of children
- Paint a frame and include a special image (example here)
Grouped together on a desk in his study or office area, he will appreciate this gift every day.
Peg board of prints
Peg boards for hanging prints are fantastic because you can frequently update them with new and interesting prints. You can also theme them according to what’s happening in your family. For Father’s Day, you can display your favourite photos of the special men in your and your children’s lives. It is also lots of fun for the kids to help you choose which photos to print. You can purchase photo display boards in most department stores.
Using the KODAK MOMENTS App
- Download the free KODAK MOMENTS App (via iOS or Android).
- Open the app and click on “get started”.
- When “order prints” appears, click “start order”. *
- Select your print size – you can even print square sized photos, which is perfect for your Instagram pics.
- Select your desired prints from your camera roll.
- Check out and pay using PayPal or credit card. It’s that simple!
Arrived in the mail
Note: If you wish to edit your images first, click on “gallery – view now” instead of “order prints”. Then select the image you wish to edit, or import an image from Facebook, Instagram, Flickr or Dropbox to save, edit and print – all within the app. The editing options include cropping, colour effect filters and captions. Below is an example.
We love this app because it means that it’s now even easier to capture and print your memories on your mobile device and share them with loved ones.
Fun idea: Wrap with brown paper with string, and get the kids to decorate the outside with personal drawings.
