I love colour. It’s come into Spring now and the world is singing and I relish it.
Flowers in My Hair
My daughter picked some wildflowers on the grass and gave them to me. I put them in my hair.
Purple Rain
I flew from Auckland to my hometown Brisbane recently. The fragrance of the air hit me. It surprised me. It smelt like home. Blue-Purple jacarandas spotted the streets, carpeting the ground in colour. The air was warm with a weight like a hug. After being away for a while, the fragrance of the earth and air was familiar and comforting.
Gingerbread People All in a Row
Look at these happy gingerbread people. You can find the recipe from Amanda here: Gingerbread People
Blossom Blush
My sister came over and visited us here in New Zealand. We went to Hobbiton and these gorgeous pink blooms were out.
Cupcakes and Blue Skies
Both delicious.
Practically Perfect
Found this gorgeous cushion at Wallace Cotton in Ponsonby and I love it. The grey/yellow is a classy colour combo too.
Magic Sky
Back to long evenings and magic skies here in Auckland.
Fly Me Home
I swear I could have walked on those clouds.
Berries from the Garden
Strawberries are growing in the garden. We are enjoying.
Stand Out
There are always treasures to see outside.
A Beach Doesn’t Have to Be Golden to Be Beautiful
The five figures are my tribe. A lot of people ask me how I’ve coped with moving around so much as a family, and it really does feel like I have my tribe and so I’m okay, no matter where I am. This was taken at Karekare Beach on the west coast of the North Island. We saw seals while we were here!
