Mother’s Day is almost here, and I have a gorgeous giveaway running. I’ve been eyeing off this Choose Joy tee from BOOM SHANKAR for months because it’s so happy. To give an indication of size, this is me wearing a size 10 tee shirt (but I’m usually more of a 12 so the size is generous). It fits beautifully and is just the right length to leave out or tuck in, depending on what you’re wearing it with.

To celebrate Mother’s Day, I’m giving you the chance to win a tee in your size along with a heap of other goodies from Urban Beauty United & BOOM SHANKAR.

April 21, 2017 at 12:20 pmLast year my five year old made me breakfast in bed. His pride in himself made me feel so joyful. That I could raise a son to pride in being thoughtful and kind is a joy.

April 21, 2017 at 12:57 pmA quiet home day with my family would be delightful. Maybe we will have a yummy afternoon tea of scones with jam and cream. That’s my kind of joy. Mother’s Day is always the day after our school Fete so we’re usually pretty exhausted. ?

April 21, 2017 at 1:19 pmAbsolutely without a doubt my three young sons give me joy in their each individual way, not only on Mother’s Day but everyday. My eldest son brings me joy by being Mr. Organiser, he is the serious dude of the family, his deep thinking, reasoning and inquisitive nature gives me so much joy. My middle son brings me joy through his injectious smile, and down to earth personality. My youngest son being the most cheeky one, is always up for a giggle or a funny remark at the exact right time which is sure to bring a smile to my dial!

April 21, 2017 at 7:38 pmLast year my sister bought me a small gift and a card, and signed it from my daughter. It simultaneously broke my heart, (that I am doing this alone) and made it burst with joy that she recognised my efforts as her niece’s mum. Being with my family and my precious daughter brings me joy, at the recognition of our achievements as mothers.?

April 22, 2017 at 3:01 amThe ‘fill in the blanks’ Mothers Day cards never fail to bring me joy (and more than a few giggles). You know the kind where the kids narrate the answers to their Kindy teacher? Last year, my card included gems such as:
“My Mum is 16 years old”
“Her favourite activity is vacuuming” and
“Her favourite food is chocolate “.
I’ll let you guess which one of the three she got right…

April 22, 2017 at 2:09 pmJust being a mother. Due to health reasons I was only ever able to have one child and that pregnancy was full of drama to say the least. I count my blessings every day.

April 22, 2017 at 3:04 pmBreakfast in bed, yes for the effort and love that goes in to ‘surprise me’, but the joy for me is the hand picked flowers in a vase on the brekky tray. And last year, my joy went through the roof, when there were no flowers in the garden, and instead of pretty blooms, I received a partial head of cauliflower, bobbing in a crystal vase. It’s most definitely the small things 🙂

April 22, 2017 at 7:36 pmTruthfully I do like to be appreciated on Mothers Day, and love a little pampering, and lets face it, us mothers work hard and deserve a bit of extra love. But what brings me the most joy is the simple but beautiful presents that my children create and make themselves, always made with love, they make my heart swell with pride and joy knowing their love is pure and all mine. Oh did I mention those sweet little arms wrapped around my neck and those luscious wet little kisses, Happy Mothers Day to all you wonderful women, you deserve it,

April 23, 2017 at 3:46 pmMy children bring me joy with their homemade gifts and art,
My children bring me joy as we stroll through the local park.
On mothers day they bring me joy with all the kisses and cuddles,
Even though its usually raining I get joy watching them jump in puddles.
Reminiscing about the day my kids came into this world,
The endless joy and love that came instantly, I’ll always have for my girls.

April 26, 2017 at 8:25 pmSince becoming a mother, my Mother’s Day JOY is found by running the Mother’s Day Classic to pay tribute to friends and family, who have lost their battle with breast cancer. Knowing my family is cheering me on at the finish line brings me so much happiness.
