When it comes to enjoying Netflix, mums often sneak in a little snippets on the go. The majority of mothers surveyed in the US said they enjoyed having a break from the daily routine via streaming their favourite shows. I guess that is the beauty about streaming, you can do it pretty much anywhere. It turns out, I am one of 19% of mums who enjoy a bit of downtime in the in the car park. When I’m not needing to study or answering emails, I’ll catch a show while I wait for my daughter to finish ballet. The most common ways that mums sneak in some TV “me time” are while:
- Cleaning around the house (57%),
- Lying in bed (55%)
- Cooking (48%)
- Doing their hair or makeup (28%)
So there you go.

July 20, 2017 at 7:53 pmSchool picks ups I listen to it through the Bluetooth of the car. I get there 45 mins early to get an episode in. And lying in bed before I go to sleep I sneak in a couple more episodes.

July 22, 2017 at 11:32 amMy ultimate Netflix me time is snuggled up in bed with the iPad but hey, just about anywhere in the house that I can grab some moments by myself works too!

July 23, 2017 at 12:14 amI think I would sneak in Netflix while waiting at the Doctors. Baby number 4 due in Nov and my babysitting credits are used so I can go visit the midwife on my own! Go a bit early and sneak in some Kimmy or OITNB ? Yay! Maybe it can distract me through labour too ?

July 23, 2017 at 1:19 pmIn New Zealand, we are just finishing a 2 week between term holiday. I have enjoyed watching a Netflix only series with my girls on the horrible rainy winter days, sometimes still in our Pyjamas!!

July 23, 2017 at 5:30 pmI’ve never had/used Netflix but I’d love to watch Fuller House with my three young daughters!! I loved Full House when I was growing up and bought the series on DVD and my daughters all love it too, so we’d really enjoy binge watching Fuller House.

July 25, 2017 at 8:22 pmMy ultimate Netflix me time would be to have no upcoming commitments (being a teacher that is hard), child-free, snuggled up on the couch with some snacks and coffee, marathoning all my favourite programs and movies I like to watch. Actually being able to hear them would be most blissful!!!

July 25, 2017 at 9:28 pmMy young kids are in bed by 7pm every night, and my husband has very early starts for work, so is in bed by 8pm, so pretty much every night I have 2 whole hours to indulge in Netflix while I fold laundry, etc. My Ultimate Netflix time would involve a hotel room for the night, room service and champagne!

July 27, 2017 at 1:13 pmMy Netflix time looks like: child and hubby in bed, just hopped out of a scalding shower, snuggled up in my dressing gown, socks and slippers nursing a hot chocolate. I grew up on a property out of town and we could never get reception (still can’t), so I wasn’t able to watch any TV at all. I would love to catch up on all those “famous” TV shows that all my friends talked about all the time: Friends, Party of Five etc.

July 27, 2017 at 4:08 pmMy ultimate Netflix time would be when kids are asleep, washing on, kitchen cleaned up from dinner…. sit down on the couch with a cozy blanket, flick on the Tele…. nothing on!
My 3 Year old has only ‘just’ started going to bed when I put her there, rather than coming back and forth for 3 hrs!
Ultimate time to relax! It’s been a long time coming ?
