I’ve done this game before with my kids and they absolutely LOVED it.
All you need: plastic Easter Eggs (medium to large size) and either glow sticks or battery operated tea lights. Simply place the tea light or wound up glow stick inside the plastic egg and then hide them inside the house or in the backyard. The kids have a blast looking for them. OR, they are fun just for decoration too.
Backyard Camping
Another idea is to couple this game with backyard camping. I got the Hinterland 4 Person Folding Tent from BIG W (gifted) which was easy to set up. Throw a couple of camping chairs up and a picnic mat and you’re set.
Fun ideas
- Lay on a picnic mat with pillows and watch the stars
- Make hot chocolate
- Shine torches to make shadow shapes on the tent walls
- Go on a nature hunt
- Do a glow in the dark egg hunt.
- Eat dinner outside
